General

The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference. Just read it. Thought provoking, inspiring, unique.

Outliers: The Story of Success. Verifies what I’ve always said: takes a LONG and focused time to really learn meaningful and lasting skills and information. Provocative take on why some succeed and some don’t. Don’t take it as gospel, but IF you ponder this topic, some interesting ideas. Minimal biz info, but great for Gladwell fans.

Blink: the power of thinking without thinking, Malcolm Gladwell. Those who quickly filter out extraneous information generally make better decisions than those who discount their first impressions. Cites implications for such areas as emergency situations and marketing, plus some notable exceptions.

Legal

Clicking through: a survival guide for bringing your company online, Jonathan Ezor, attorney. I’ve NEVER seen ANY book which discusses legal and other business issues written for the average person. Format of book is tall and narrow, hard to keep open if you want to write or type notes. Don’t let that stop you.

Productivity, Time Management

Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity, David Allen. Straightforward, one-page flowchart: copy and post near your computer to repeatedly consult. That alone is worth the purchase price. Allen’s ingenious Two-Minute Rule: if anything you absolutely must do that you can do right now, in two minutes or less, then do it now, thus freeing up your time and mind tenfold over the long term.
Social Media Sites: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn

Twitter power: how to dominate your market one tweet at a time, Joel Comm.” Twitter confuses or intrigues you? Tips so you will be noticed, read and followed. I got from library, because I will not fund his politics.

What’s stopping you?: shatter the 9 most common myths keeping you from starting your own business, Bruce R Barringer. Narrow volume is perfect to dispel the main reasons people are fearful running their own business. Prospective entrepreneurs can believe, “I can do this. It’s not beyond my reach.”

Books are my passion. I am addicted to knowledge. I can’t imagine a day without devouring info in print or online. I’ve spent more happy, fulfilled moments reading all kinds of info since I was a young child. I’m now immersed in these life-changing, life-affirming books. I’ve heard of many years ago, but never knew how to integrate them into my life. Now they have more meaning as these wise, sage authors guide me in my Network Marketing journey. POWERFUL stuff!
